I am the Twins
I've never been been a big believer in Astrology, but I have to admit there is definitely something to birth signs. I was born on June 14th 1965 (it hailed that day, but that's another story), which makes me a Gemini. Here's a relatively good description of Geminis:
"Since Geminis are a mix of the yin and the yang, they are represented perfectly by the Twins. The Gemini-born can easily see both sides of an issue, a wonderfully practical quality. Less practical is the fact that you're not sure which Twin will show up half the time. Geminis may not know who's showing up either, which can prompt others to consider them fickle and restless."
Without a doubt there are two distinct sides to my personality. One side is outgoing, funny, occasionally loud (in a good way!) and happy. The other side is introverted, moody, and very quiet. You could ask two people that know me in separate situations, what I'm like and get two very different answers.
Early on in our relationship my future wife discovered the twins within and subsequently named them:
Asshole
and...
Not So Bad
You might find it odd that she still married me after this discovery, but then she's a Taurus and like most Tauruses she's stubborn, (They don't call them the Bulls for nothing!) I think she probably figured she would just beat the Asshole out of me! Lucky for her (and the rest of the world) she was pretty successful in doing just that. Asshole's appearances have become more infrequent as I've gotten older, but he still shows his face especially when I don't get my 8 hours of sleep!
As for those of you whose significant others are Geminis, you have my deepest condolences. You probably wonder if you're a masochist for trying to tame a Gemini, but look at it this way. Geminis can be annoying, selfish, and complete jerks, but we're never boring, at least not for long!
