Alex’s Coupons Donates $1000.00 to Camp for Children with Cancer

July 31, 2006, GIG HARBOR, WA – Alex’s Coupons, (http://www.alexscoupons.com) a website devoted to providing the latest deals and coupons to consumers, recently donated one thousand dollars to Camp Side-by-Side, a week-long camp experience designed to serve the needs of families that have a child with cancer.

"We'd like thank Alex's Coupons for their generous gift of $1000 to Camp Side-by-Side,” said Jackie Williams, Family Support Program Coordinator, Side-by-Side. “Their gift will help us give 20 Washington families who have a child with cancer the chance to experience a cost-free, fun, and relaxing vacation for the whole family. Generous donors, like Alex's Coupons, help transform an ordinary week into an extraordinary one for these special families. Thank you so much!"

Alex’s Coupons was launched by Todd & Andrea Martini in October 1999 to raise money for their daughter Alexandra's medical treatment. Alex was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 1998 at the age of 10 months and underwent life saving Cord Blood Transplants in 1999 and 2003. Now that Alex has completed treatment, the Martinis have instituted a charitable donation program using some of the proceeds from Alex's Coupons.

About Camp Side-by-Side

Camp Side-by-Side is an opportunity for families that have a child battling cancer to experience a fully-funded, week long “vacation” from the demands of dealing with a seriously ill child. Camp provides fun activities for the whole family, including some special events designed especially for the parents, while their children are being cared for by trained volunteers. The camp is located in Eatonville, Washington.
