Children's Cancer Lifeline Build-A-Bear Event for Kids with Cancer

Thought I'd pass this along in case anyone in the Seattle area knows a child with Cancer who might be interested in participating. Children's Cancer Lifeline is one of the organizations that helped us during Alex's treatment, and was also the recipient of one of our $1000 donations back in December 2005.

Dear Families,

We wanted to let eveyone know we have 5 more openings for our event that Children's Cancer Lifeline will be participating in on Thursday, August 24th @ 10:30 a.m. at the Bellevue Square Build-A-Bear Workshop.

The kids will each be able to make their own Champ bear--the new bear that Build-A-Bear we will be introducing that day. We would love to have around 5 more children sign up (ages about 7-12) children participate.

The event will be covered by the local media, please let me know by August 22nd with a RSVP so we can e-mail the Media Release to you.

Please RSVP to lisa@childrenscancerlifeline.org and I will send out a confirmation letter from Build-A-Bear for the event. If you have any questions please call 425-870-5622

Sincerely,

Lisa Griffith
President

About me

  • I'm Todd Martini
  • From Gig Harbor, Washington, United States
  • I own Alex's Coupons, which offers the latest deals and coupons to consumers, while educating them about Childhood Cancer. I started Alex's Coupons back in 2001 to help raise money for my daughter Alex's treatment for Leukemia. Alex was diagnosed at the age of 10 months and underwent 2 Cord Blood Transplants, multiple rounds of chemo, total body irradiation, experimental treatments, etc. Alex is now 3 1/2 years post 2nd Transplant and is doing quite well. Now that Alex is off treatment I've started donating part of the profits from Alex's Coupons to Cancer related charities. Click here to read more about Alex and the rest of our family or view our Evening Magazine story. that aired earlier this year. There was one major error in the story. We do not make $900k each month, as stated at the end of the story. We've generated up to $900k in sales in a single month (12/05), but we're only paid only a small percentage of that amount as commission.
